Drafted the way Waiz drafts every trip — tell the AI wizard the where, when, and who, and it builds a plan like this one in seconds. This is what that first draft looks like for five days in Tokyo with a group.
Day by day
Day 1 · Shinjuku & Shibuya
3 STOPSLand, drop bags, and let the neon do the jet-lag recovery for you.
- Check in near Shinjuku. Central, connected to every train line you'll need for the rest of the trip.
- 18:00Shibuya Sky. Book the sunset slot — the crossing below looks unreal from above as the lights come on.
- Izakaya crawl. Skewers, small plates, one more spot than you planned — the group-trip warm-up meal.
Day 2 · Old Tokyo
3 STOPSTemples and museums in the morning, electronics and arcades by night.
- 9:00Senso-ji, Asakusa. Tokyo's oldest temple — go early, before the Nakamise-dori shopping street fills in.
- 13:00Ueno Park. Pick one museum (Tokyo National Museum is the safe bet) and leave the rest for a rainy day.
- 19:00Akihabara at night. Arcades, retro game shops, and enough neon for everyone's camera roll.
Day 3 · Harajuku & Meiji Shrine
3 STOPSQuiet forest in the morning, maximum chaos by afternoon.
- 9:00Meiji Shrine. A gravel path through actual forest in the middle of the city — the calm before Harajuku.
- 12:00Takeshita Street. Crepes, fashion, and the loudest 350 meters in Tokyo.
- 20:00Immersive digital art. A teamLab-style installation is the easiest 'whole group agrees' evening plan in the city.
Day 4 · Day trip out of the city
2 STOPSThe group activity that needs no debate — pick one and book the train tickets together.
- Kamakura or Nikko. An hour out by train: coastal temples and the Great Buddha in Kamakura, or mountain shrines and waterfalls in Nikko.
- Return for ramen. Come back into the city hungry — a late bowl of ramen is the unofficial end-of-day-trip tradition.
Day 5 · Tsukiji & departure
2 STOPSMarket breakfast, last souvenirs, home.
- 8:00Tsukiji Outer Market. The wholesale auction moved years ago, but the outer market's breakfast stalls are still the best in the city.
- Ginza, last stop. Department store souvenirs and one final coffee before the airport train.
